At Teesdale Leisure and Cultural Services we endeavour to offer a balanced programme that has something for everyone. The wide range of clubs and groups that use our facilities compliment the activities we provide ourselves.
Teesdale Leisure and Cultural Services aims to provide a stimulating and pro-active range of facilities, activities and services, which aim to improve the quality of life for all communities and individuals throughout the District by promoting healthier lifestyles, increasing knowledge and encouraging enjoyment through active participation.
We promise to:
- Provide an efficient and effective Leisure Service from the resources available that will offer a full range of health and leisure opportunities.
- Improve the quality of life of Teesdale residents.
- Support the Council's Enviromental Policy.
- Encourage a mass participation culture.
- Increase participation in Sport in Teesdale.
- Ensure the facility is continually maintained to a high standard.
- Develop a programme that offers a more diverse range of activities out of curriculum time.

Dancing Dogs Compete for Crufts at Teesdale Leisure Centre >>
Up to 160 dogs and their owners will be going walkies to Teesdale Leisure Centre in Barnard Castle later this month (Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May) for a skills competition set to music.

There are three types of membership available:
Junior (3-16) Membership: £10.30
Adult (17-59) Membership: £19.80
Family Membership: £44.80
Concessionary membership is FREE and includes residents of Teesdale District who receive benefit/support on an individual basis.
